Review, storyline, and pics from Arcade

Ok, this is 1 of the best special effects movies I have ever seen. While it may not be one of the best storylines, or have the greatest actors, it's still 1 hell of a movie. It starts with Alex (Megan Ward) remembering her mother who had killed her herself sometime ago. She is still disturbed by it, and she knows her life is just plain and simple: A living hell. But she still has some of the best friends ever and together they go to Dante's Inferno, which is an underground arcade, to check out the unveiling of a new virtual reality game called quite simply: Arcade. The rules are simple: you play and you try to achieve the goal set for each level. However, this is no ordinary game. It is actually alive and if you lose, you get your soul taken from you. No one is able to realize this until Alex plays the free home version she got and discovers the truth about the game, she then tells her friend Nick (Peter Billingsley) and he too beleives that the game is alive. They then discover each and everyone of their friends has been captured by the game; they decide the only way to get their friends back is to beat the game; they get some maps to the game and they go in to fight Arcade, what happens after.....Well, you are going to have to watch it, as always, I will not give away the ending. Rated PG-13 (should be an R in my opinion).

A pic of Screamer. one of the lesser bad guys in this game (nice effect here)
One of Alex's friends (after soul has been stolen)
